The Fijian connection in Parkes Rugby League is set to continue for another two years.
Parkes Spacemen president Graham Cole was delighted to announce the signing of the Fijian quartet until the end of the 2010 season.
‘Alipate Tani, Semisi Tora, Ilisoni Vonomateiratu and Epi Sadrodo have made a huge impact on the Spacemen this year and their resigning is a huge boost for the club,’ Cole said.
‘They are really enjoying their time in Parkes and it will be great to have them back for another couple of years.
‘All four of the boys have had a big impact on the club and they have fit in really well.
‘They are really good, genuine blokes.’
Cole is hoping that this announcement will help the club get a settled squad for next season.
‘It is very important for us to encourage our local talent,,’ Cole said.
‘Our local guys are the heart and soul of our club and we value all our players greatly.
‘We would really like to start signing people up for next year as soon as possible so that we can be settled for the start of the season.’
Cole is also hoping that current co-coach Will Harris will come on board next year to follow up the success the Spacemen have enjoyed so far this season.
The four Fijian players will return home at the end of this season in September before returning next March.
The application process for their visas is already in the works.
Meanwhile, this weekend is a vital game for the Spacemen as they take on Nyngan.
