A frosty night of tennis was played last Monday as the Top Spins and Hot Shots divisions played their final round of the Term 2 autumn competition.

MONDAY TOP SPINS

Last week, husband and wives were teamed together for the last round of the autumn competition.

There were some great rallies played with a few ‘disagreements’ and plenty of calling for the ball being heard as players made themselves quite clear (so there wouldn’t be any arguments!).

Nevertheless, it was a fun night and Keith and Di Tillman were the pair to beat as they racked up the three-set win and added 18 points to their tally.

Keith wasn’t able to take the top spot though as Richard and Amanda Draper teamed up to score 12, while Alan and Gail Smith scored 10.

Alan was the coveted winner of the prizemoney with a total of 124 points.

Sandra and Geoff Massurit managed nine for the night, while David Kent had the bye.

The top order remained unchanged from last week with Alan first on 124, Richard 122, Keith 119, and Amanda on 112.

MONDAY NIGHT HOT SHOTS

Last week, the Hot Shots opted for the quick and easy finish to their comp as players battled with the cold.

Lynelle Barklimore was the winner of the comp after a three-set win with partner Joan Bowd to be the victor with a total of 108 points.

Sharon Scott teamed with Sarah Bowd, and Alicia Peters partnered Linda Bowd to all equal score on eight points, while Sue Hogan and Christine Bowd ended up with four.

The final placings were Lynelle on 108, Sharon on 96, Linda 94, Alicia 88, Sue 84, Joan 76, Christine 66 and Sarah 53.

Any player around the A to A-reserve standard are most welcome to turn up tonight and play.
