Spacemen keen for win at home

27/06/2008 10:05:00 AM
Parkes Spacemen are ready and raring to go for this weekend’s Group 11 rugby league match against CYMS.

After the disappointment of having their match abandoned last week after leading comfortably, the Spacemen have a point to prove.

Due to the long weekend and the vagaries of the draw, Parkes have not played at home since May when they handed the Forbes Magpies a heavy defeat.

Despite this and having to wait and see if they receive two points from the Narromine match, Parkes are still strongly positioned in the top five.

Consistency has been a major factor in the Spacemen’s success this year and the team is once again unchanged from last week.

The form of Group 11 representatives Tom Clyburn, Danny Read and ‘Hair’ Lavaka has been impressive, while James Hunt, Craig Cole and Jeremy Clarke have also been good for the Spacemen.

13/08/2008 | I heard the funniest thing this week: Google Earth exists because a little man ran around with a video camera filming the entire Earth including all the towns and every single house. I think he’s related to the little man inside our refrigerators that turns off the light.
